We really do welcome any dog. Some of you may have noticed the Basils wearing a muzzle in some of the pictures. Here at East Suffolk Canicross we understand that most reactive dogs aren't mean, but are just nervous and defensive. However due to this, they're unable to socialise with other dogs. Well canicross is the exception, because your dog is always attached to you, they can chase and run with other dogs, with no fear of getting loose. I've experienced many reactive dogs during my time canicrossing, and many of them form a friendship bond with dogs they run regularly with, and after a few runs together, it's not unusual for two reactive dogs to happily run side by side. So if you have a reactive dog, don't keep him on the outside looking in, bring them along to join the fun.
